Quest log
The die creates texture; sequencing creates agency. Use this path as a compass, then respond to the table.
Keep enough mana to participate early and at least one useful spell for the middle turns. A hand full of payoffs but no clean sequencing is a mulligan.
Land Mathise when a meaningful spell can follow soon. Treat the commander as an engine you can rebuild, not a turn-three obligation.
Cast mana-value-three-or-greater instants and sorceries when every result band advances the plan. Save roll manipulation for the decisions that alter a full turn cycle.
Once cards and mana align, point the copied or repeated spell toward a visible finish. Announce the danger before the stack becomes difficult to parse.

Custom 60-card Commander · 30 life · multiplayer · pod-locked balance
The sampler uses only the 59-card library; every command-zone card stays out.
Dice engine
Mathise turns ordinary spell sequencing into a three-part d20 decision. The journal keeps those choices visible without pretending the die is deterministic.
Channel
Use Mathise's trigger as the reliable roll source. Prefer spells that are useful before the die is rolled; the result should add value, not rescue a weak cast.
Practice die
Move the d20 or roll a sample. The band is a sequencing reminder, not a probability forecast.

Defensive posture
Mathise can look like the pod's permission deck, but its answers are a shared resource. Spend them on runaway engines and decisive combat turns; let fair development resolve.
Delina's attack enabler, Vrondiss's repeatable roll-and-enrage engine, and Wyll's widest multiplier deserve priority over a single value creature.
If Mathise is removed, preserve either protection for the recast or a card-selection spell that restores velocity. Do not empty the hand defending a losing board.
State trigger order, d20 modifiers, copied spells, and new targets one piece at a time. Clarity is part of the pod's social contract.
Visible endings
The pod aims for strong, interactive finishes. These windows should be recognizable before they become inevitable.
A natural 20 converts a substantial spell into a large but advertised advantage. Build the turn in public and give opponents a clean response window.
Use repeated medium-band results to pull ahead on cards, then protect one efficient threat or spell sequence instead of trying to lock the table.
When the battlefield has traded down, turn spare interaction into tempo and finish decisively. Avoid extending a won game just to roll again.
Encounter ledger
Each matchup note names the real engine, the clean response, and one useful table offer.

D20 register
Counts come from explicit public annotations. They are raw 60-card pod counts, not scaled power measurements.
Spellbook index
Search the public planned list or open any name for a rules reference.
Pod-local review
This custom 60-card list is tuned only against the other three adventurers. Its shared limits, response windows, closing pace, and all six pairings are reviewed together.
