Pilot manual

Grow the board without planting creatures.

The deck wins by turning resilient mana development into expendable bodies, then turning those bodies into enormous spells.

Turns one–three

Ramp lands, not creatures

Keep hands with two to four land-capable cards and an independent accelerator. Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Farseek, Nature's Lore, Three Visits, and Rampant Growth develop mana that survives creature removal. Explore needs another land in hand; do not count Cryptolith Rite or Springleaf Parade as functional ramp until a token already exists.

Cards: Utopia Sprawl · Wild Growth · Farseek · Nature's Lore · Three Visits · Rampant Growth · Explore · Cryptolith Rite · Springleaf Parade

Turns two–four

Make the first body with a spell

Use Chatter of the Squirrel, Chatterstorm, Saproling Migration, Verdant Command, or a ramp-and-token spell to establish affinity material. Chatterstorm is best after a cheap ramp spell but is still acceptable for one body. Spread token makers across turns when a sweeper is likely instead of committing every seed at once.

Cards: Chatter of the Squirrel · Chatterstorm · Saproling Migration · Verdant Command · Growth Spasm · Return from the Wilds

The green pan

Let tokens fund the next harvest

Cryptolith Rite and Springleaf Parade let early tokens cover colored costs after Witherbloom removes generic mana. Gaea's Cradle scales the same board, while Phyrexian Tower can spend one expendable body for black pips. Preserve at least one creature when doing so: the surviving count determines how much affinity remains for the next spell.

Costing desk

Choose X before applying affinity

Announce X, calculate the full generic and colored cost, then reduce only the generic portion for Witherbloom's affinity. Every black and green pip still has to be paid. Unbound Flourishing copies an instant or sorcery X spell after the cost is chosen; Animist's Awakening is the bridge from temporary token leverage to lands that remain after a creature wipe.

The black pan

Convert a threatened board

When removal is telegraphed, Plumb the Forbidden and Deadly Dispute turn expendable tokens into cards. Moldervine Reclamation and Skullclamp reward normal attrition; Fresh Meat rebuilds after destroy-based sweepers, while For the Common Good can give an established token board indestructible. Bala Ged Recovery and Seasons Past recover the best spells rather than creature engines.

Closing turn

Pick the finish the table allows

Biorhythm is strongest when your token count dominates; Exsanguinate closes through blockers; Overwhelming Stampede rewards one large token; and the army spells rebuild pressure by themselves. Tyranid Invasion is the reliable floor, while Army of the Damned, Ezuri's Predation, Doomsday Confluence, and Gelatinous Genesis trade speed for a much larger board.

Pregame disclosure

Name the three Game Changers

This Bracket 3 plan contains Biorhythm, Field of the Dead, and Gaea's Cradle. It has no nonland tutors, no mana dorks, no free interaction, and no intentional compact combo. The commander is the list's only creature card; every other affinity body comes from a spell, enchantment, artifact, or land.
