Curiosity
The cheapest ignition. Resolve Parun, attach for one blue, then start with any draw or spell cast.
Izzet control room · selected V3 · Bracket 4
Hold the stack, draw through the noise, and let every new idea leave a scorch mark. Then deploy a Dragon—or four temporary Nivs—and end the experiment.
Boundary Mana Vault is the only premium fast-mana artifact. No Mox pile, Oracle consultation, dedicated Breach combo, or wheel lock.
Live instrument 01
Parun has two linked triggers. More Nivs or trigger doublers multiply both sides, so the pressure grows quadratically—not one ping at a time.
P × (1 + D) = 1 triggers per event
One spell makes one Parun draw once, then that draw creates one ping.
Signature combat
Attack one opponent in a four-player game: two myriad copies join Auton and the original commander. Cast one instant during combat and four Paruns produce 4 draws and 16 pings.
Engine map 02
Each partner turns a Parun ping into another draw. The loop is controllable: choose not to draw, or aim a later ping away from an opponent.
The cheapest ignition. Resolve Parun, attach for one blue, then start with any draw or spell cast.
Flash converts an opponent's end step—or attempted answer—into an instant-speed launch window.
Step Through can find it. The granted draw is mandatory, but a ping at a creature safely breaks the chain.
The most theatrical second half: every point of noncombat damage draws the next card and keeps the circuit live.
No matter which card reaches hand, Parun gets a loop partner.
Copy protocol 03
The list uses copy effects that explicitly make or permit nonlegendary Nivs. Every extra Parun multiplies the cast trigger and the draw trigger.
Nonlegendary copy plus myriad. Best when the table is tapped low and one protected combat-step spell becomes a lethal stack.
Expensive on purpose. Each combat adds a nonlegendary, hasty Parun that survives to police every following turn.
Copies the best engine while turning off the legend rule for your board. The laboratory stays open.
Deployment bay 04
Sneak Attack and Through the Breach preserve the draw-go posture. If the table does nothing worth answering, deploy a threat at the last responsible moment.
Combat-damage payload
Cheat it in with haste, phase out opposing fliers with March of Swirling Mist, connect, and turn one attack into up to twenty cards—and twenty Parun pings.
Flight manual 05
Parun rewards restraint. Develop colored mana, make opponents move first, and turn their interaction into your cards before exposing a finisher.
Keep three lands or two lands plus colored acceleration. Blue and red pips matter more than raw colorless mana.
Trade only for game-winning engines or tempo that protects your sixth land. Let fair permanents live.
Cast Parun with a protection line or when a fight benefits you. Even removal pointed at him draws a card before it resolves.
Choose the cleanest finish: Curiosity circuit, Niv copies, or an end-step Dragon deployment into combat.
Pregame disclosure “Ceiling Bracket 4 Niv-Mizzet draw-go: twelve Game Changers, Mana Vault as the only premium fast-mana artifact, four free answers, efficient tutors, and intentional commander-based draw-damage loops. Copies or trigger doublers can make them table-lethal. No cEDH Mox pile, Oracle consultation, dedicated Breach combo, or wheel lock.”
Mulligan bench 06
The lab evaluates structure, not fate: land drops, colored acceleration, cheap interaction, and whether the opening hand is clogged with six-mana experiments.
