Find a way in
Keep two to four lands plus a dork, land enchantment, rock, or two-mana land spell. Every good heist starts with access.
Bello, Bard of the Brambles · upper Bracket 3
A ring from Middle-earth. A crystal from another fantasy. Cybermen, spaceships, mutant tech, and whatever was left behind in the apocalypse. To Bello, it is all perfectly good junk—and all of it can attack.
The salvage run
Keep two to four lands plus a dork, land enchantment, rock, or two-mana land spell. Every good heist starts with access.
Bello is kill-on-sight. Boots before bard is often the correct ordering; the hoard is inert without him.
Lead with a ring, crystal, robot, vehicle, or other four-mana object that draws cards or generates value.
Wait until the attack produces cards or lethal pressure; then add one multiplier and turn the junkyard sideways.
Opening hand
The waking hoard
During your turn, each non-Equipment artifact and non-Aura enchantment with mana value four or greater becomes a 4/4 Elemental with indestructible, haste, and a card-draw trigger on combat damage.
Combat console
A clean estimate for unblocked Bello-animated 4/4s. It deliberately ignores commander damage, printed creature power, Kessig Wolf Run, and combat tricks.
Keep the collector alive
Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Delighted Halfling, and Plaza of Heroes make the first cast safer.
Legolas’s Quick Reflexes and Tamiyo’s Safekeeping punish spot removal without slowing the stage setup.
Heroic Intervention, Deflecting Swat, Veil of Summer, and Asceticism cover the high-leverage windows.
Cast Blasphemous Act on your turn: the animated objects are indestructible while opposing creatures take thirteen.
